Social TRade Organisation, STRO (in Dutch STROhalm) , is a Research & Development network working in the field of micro-credit, development of small and medium enterprises and strengthening of local economies through networks of exchange.

STRO specialises in innovative development methods, spreading them around the world as instruments to help local communities achieve a decent and sustainable quality of life. This objective is pursued through the implementation of several pilot projects in the Netherlands, Brazil, Central America and Asia. STRO also works on interest free exhange systems and interest-free investment opportunities in the Netherlands for organic organic agrigulture and interest free Islamic mortgage.
